Kalkatic Engineering Ltd. is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in Edmonton, Alberta, established in 2015 specializing in forensic structural engineering, building science, restoration consulting, and the design of new buildings. We deliver technical sound, cost-effective, and timely solutions to address complex structural and building performance issues throughout Western & Eastern and Northern Canada.

Our clients include insurance companies, independent adjusters, legal professionals, property managers, developers, and contractors. We provide detailed forensic assessments of buildings impacted by fire, water intrusion, structural distress, foundation movement, and environmental or material degradation. These assessments support claims analysis, litigation, repair planning, and risk mitigation.

In addition to forensic work, we offer full-service engineering design for new residential, commercial, and institutional developments. Our services include structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil design, coordinated to meet all meet all applicable codes and regulatory requirements.

We perform comprehensive in-house building code reviews, including current and historical code evaluations, to determine compliance requirements and identify potential for grandfathering or necessary upgrades. All architectural, mechanical, and electrical components are designed in close collaboration with our trusted subconsultants to ensure a fully integrated and code-compliant solution tailored to the specific needs of each projects.
